Tim and Annelise Suh

Campus Staff | Yorba Linda, CA (Tim) & San Diego, CA & Shanghai, China (Annelise)

In my sophomore year at Georgetown, I (Tim) encountered the love of Jesus through Campus Outreach. CO staff and students led me from what had been a mere intellectual assertion of faith – a dead faith without works – into a living, saving faith in the gospel that bore the fruit of love. God transformed my drive for personal success into a desire to serve others with the gospel. Now, when I look upon the campus, I see a place of urgent need (Titus 3:14). Souls – college students who will go on to lead the nations – are in desperate need of the only thing that can save them – a renewed relationship with God through Jesus. I long for these students and want to give myself to serve them through campus ministry.

Growing up, I (Annelise) knew very little about who Jesus was. In high school, I developed an intellectual interest in His ethical teachings on forgiveness, but over time God turned my skeptical curiosity into saving faith. As an expat in China, I was isolated from other Christians and had no idea how to follow Jesus, yet God preserved and grew my young faith. I came to Georgetown University hungry for spiritual growth, and through Campus Outreach, God surrounded me with older women who discipled me and taught me how to live for Christ and for others. After working in the private sector following graduation, I am eager to join my husband, Tim, on staff with Campus Outreach to see students transformed by the same grace that changed my life.
